Seaside Cancelled…again 😭

So technically it hasn’t been cancelled right this moment however MSC have announced that the Seaside will be doing an alternative Mediterranean sailing along with the Grandiosa staring from May 1st.

The cruise we booked has changed itinerary and been brought forward by a week. This means that MSC will be telling us that it is cancelled in the very near future.

We were so looking forward to sailing on her in June 2020, so to loose that one and our 2021 cruise is rather upsetting…especially as she won’t be doing the itinerary we want for 2022.

I’m thinking we will be transferring onto the Seaview for 2022 however due to our Daughter having A-Levels in 2022 I think we will have to bring the cruise forward to May. It’s not ideal but once we have gotten Covid under control and the world looks a little more normal I’m sure we will all have a great time on whichever ship and whichever itinerary we are sailing on.

We have moved our cruise ðŸ˜

MSC Grandiosa

So due to the ongoing COVID pandemic we have decided to delay our sailing from Barcelona on the MSC Grandiosa from October 23rd 2020 to October 23rd 2021.

This decision was not taken lightly, we had this trip booked 18 months out and were very excited for our first trip on what is the MSC flagship (extended because of the delay to the Virtuosa) however we had an aft facing suite on her this October and were already limited to a choice of four similar cabins for next October so we took the plunge and rearranged incase she is cancelled this year, which is looking more and more likely.

Balcony cabin

Our decision was helped slightly by the new cruise date costing us approximately £700 less even with adding a drinks plan for everyone however that sinking feeling of not having a planned cruise for 2020 is certainly making everything a little bit worse.

Stay safe everyone and if you have any tips or hints for the Grandiosa please add them to the comments

We are going on the Seaside in 2021!

MSC Seaside

So our cruise around the Mediterranean in June 2020 was cancelled due to the ongoing COVID pandemic.

We decided to take full advantage of the MSC 125% cruise credit and have decided to book a 7 night sailing on the MSC Seaside out of Barcelona, Spain on July 26th 2021.

Due to the extra credit we have even managed to add the premium drinks plan to our cruise at no extra cost…so we now have a Summer cruise with a drinks package for the same price as an off peak cruise without!

So excited to be experiencing a new ship for us. If you’ve any tips or tricks for the ship let me know in the comments
